Magnets Attract at Southern Manufacturing Show

Manufacturers and suppliers from across the UK converged on the Farnborough Exhibition Centre for the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show (February 2020). From the start of the 3-day annual event, the aisles were bustling with visitors and the sound of stand-chatter reverberated around the hall.
“Being at the show provides the ideal opportunity to meet and talk with people,” said Alan Why, Bunting’s new UK Sales Manager. “Some of the discussions were very technical and being able to have a face-to-face conversation was so beneficial.”
At the exhibition, Bunting promoted a wide range of magnetic related products.
These Magnetic Products include:
- Factory Magnet Solutions including Magnetic Chucks, Lifting Magnets and Magnetic Sweepers;
- Magnets (such as high strength Neodymium);
- Magnet Assemblies;
- Magnetisers;
“Our customers come from across the manufacturing sector, including automotive and aerospace,” explained Alan. “Representatives of such companies visit the Southern Manufacturing Show.”
Technical Manager Matthew Swallow fielded specific magnet design and application queries.
“The demand for magnetic technology has never been higher,” explained Matthew. “The drive towards environmentally-friendly technology such as wind turbines and electric cars relies on advances in magnet technology. We are focused on developing stronger and lighter magnet assemblies.”
